OUTREACH

The Way International Missions is founded on John 14:6.
San Ramon, Costa Rica

The Way International Missions is based in the city of San Ramon, Costa Rica.  We are also blessed to have additional locations to serve from throughout the country. Our goal is to show people the Way and the Truth, pointing people to Jesus in love by building relationships that last.

We believe that the only way to make a difference in people’s lives is to understand God’s love and mercy and give others the same grace that we have received. It is vital for us to see people with the same compassion that Jesus sees them with. His action of love has changed our lives forever and we want people to know what He has done for them so that they can experience that change in their lives as well.

We don’t want to just go through the motions in doing ministry, we want to represent Jesus in our attitude and actions-doing everything in love and serving Christ as we serve others.

MINISTRIES

Children and Youth

AT RISK KIDS

At-risk children in Costa Rica face numerous challenges, including poverty, limited access to good nutrition and hygiene, and unstable home environments. At The Way International Missions, we are dedicated to addressing these issues by providing vital support and resources. Through our programs, we offer educational opportunities, mentorship, basic needs and nutritional resources, and a safe environment where children can experience the Lord’s love and guidance. By integrating faith-based principles with practical assistance, we aim to empower these young lives, fostering hope and a brighter future for Costa Rica's most vulnerable.

FAMILY MINISTRY

We visit families and build relationships with them as we disciple them. The main religion in Costa Rica is Roman Catholicism, so reaching those families can be difficult. That's why we try to show Christ's love through relationship, like he does.

YOUTH NIGHTS

We need to invest in kids and young people and one way of doing this is, not only to build relationships with them, leading them to Christ, but also providing a safe place to have fun away from the temptations of the world.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School is part of our children’s ministry. It is one of the methods we use to reach out to the community as we try to focus on kids that are not part of a church. It’s a great way to give children a chance to see what it’s like to be part of a Christ-centered community. We desire to impact their lives by showing them God’s great love for them and teaching them that they were designed for a purpose bigger than what they know.

Outreach

CONSTRUCTION MINISTRY

We normally focus on helping families live in better conditions by fixing parts of their houses, such as walls, roofs, floors, or building a new room. We basically try to make their houses a little more secure and comfortable than their current conditions. We also have a team member who selects these families.

COMMUNITY MINISTRY

Helping the community is a way to preach the gospel. We can make a difference in the community by helping paint schools, clean parks, visit nursing homes and even teaching English.

MERCY MINISTRY

This ministry focuses on families who are in need. We have a team member who does a study to choose the families or individuals who are in the most need. These could be families with kids whose parents don’t have sufficient income, older adults who are unable to work, disabled people, or people who are passing through a difficult time. We can help them by buying food for them, paying a month of rent or bills, buying notebooks or school uniforms for their children, teaching them a way for them to succeed on their own by helping them find a job or showing them how to use their land to plant their own food. All of this helps build relationships with these people and connect with them so that we can preach and live out the gospel before their eyes.

DRUG ADDICTION AND HOMELESS MINISTRIES

The purpose of these ministries is to help those who the society doesn’t see as people, but as burdens. We minister to recovering addicts who are in rehab centers by sharing Christ, praying for them, and encouraging them through the Word. We also help the homeless through evangelism and physical needs such as food. Even just sitting down to listen to someone’s story can be life-changing for them.
